The Stivichall 2019 Sports Day was a fantastic success. Our Key Stage One children enjoyed competing in a wide range of activities run by year 6 children who showed great leadership skills to support the younger children in accessing the activities and in 'stamping' their cards to show they had completed them. In the afternoon, the Key Stage Two children had a more traditional range of races and field events. Great competitive spirit and sportsmanship was shown by all in the bid to be the winning house. Well done to Ashe house who, through fantastic effort and super teamwork, took the trophy this year. Thank you to our amazing sports leader children who had key roles throughout the afternoon and epitomised the Stivichall values in remaining focussed to prepare races, relay messages and encourage other children. The beautiful day finished with the traditional tug of war 'battles' and even a teacher race and a parent race - the children loved this spectacle! A great day was had by all; the importance of sport and healthy competition at Stivichall was once again demonstrated ... and the sun stayed out!
