Year 3 Ancient Greece Topic Day
Another fantastic opportunity arose for year 3 this month when they were given the opportunity to partake in an Ancient Greece inspired topic day.
3P and 3S were fortunate enough to experience a range of activities on the day. Several of the children's favourites included learning how armies in Ancient Greece worked, including having a chance to try replica armour and using drama reenactments! They also enjoyed a Greek myth, learning a dance which stemmed from 'Theseus and the Minotaur'; explored Ancient Greek coins; learned about a measuring system used for time and experimenting; and tried to create their own names using Ancient Greek lettering.
A wealth of activities were provided to the children on the day and it was a lovely Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) experience led by two real historians.
