Volunteering

Volunteers at Stivichall School bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities of our pupils. The Board of Governors and school staff therefore welcome and encourage volunteers from the local community.

If you think you could help, please have a read through our Volunteer Policy in the 'Policies' are of this website (including the volunteer agreement in the appendices) and fill in the 'Volunteer Information Sheet' (this can be done electronically, or paper copies are available from the school office) and we will get back to you.

If what you can offer matches what the children need, we will be in touch to organise an 'induction meeting' to chat through the Safeguarding Procedures and Volunteer Handbook and agree a date when we can hopefully introduce you to the members of staff and children that you will be supporting.

Teacher Training

Teaching is an incredibly rewarding career. If you are interested in routes into teaching, a lot of information can be found by searching 'get into teaching' online.

At Stivichall we work closely with the Coventry SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) parntership, to offer non-salaried in-school training to people who want to get into teaching and have an education to degree level. Please follow the link below for more information.

Coventry SCITT

We also work with Warwick University to support trainee teachers on their Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) placements. Please follow the link below for more information.
