Stivichall Take One Picture work has been selected not only for the display at The National Gallery, but also to be displayed on billboards across the UK.
We are really proud of our recently achieved Arts Mark award and of all our children's artwork here at Stivichall. The children really enjoy their Art learning across all year groups. One regular Art project that all children take part in at Stivichall is Take One Picture.
Take One Picture is a national programme for primary schools run by the National Gallery, which aims to inspire a lifelong love of art and learning. Every year, they take one picture from the collection to inspire cross-curricular work in primary classrooms. The work of our Reception cohort that was submitted in 2019/20 was selected by the Gallery for exhibition from entries from across the UK. Isn't it fantastic that some of our children's work has had this national recognition? The piece was due to be exhibited in Birmingham and Glasgow, as well as in London and to be on billboards across the UK, but this has been disrupted somewhat by COVID-19 lockdown.
More information about Take One Picture and the selected artwork from around the country in 2020 can be seen here. (Stivichall's work is slide 18/43 in the 'children's works section at the bottom of this National Gallery web page). We are looking forward to taking part in the project again soon.
